If you want to make Gmail in Outlook, then you have to set default settings. For this, open Outlook and then go to the File Menu option. Then you have to choose the option of Account Setting. Now, from the Email tab, tap on Gmail address. In the setting option set as default. By this way, you will see Outlook opens by default.
Enable the Feature of IMAP:

If the automatic setup does not work, then you can setup Gmail manually. For this, first you have to open Outlook and select File. Then select Add Account and the Add Account Window will open. Now you have to select the Advanced option and you have to select that Let me setup My Account manually. Then you can enter your Email Address and connect it. After this you have to select IMAP then enter your Password and then select Connect. You can now select the Change Account Setting. Now you have to enter the information in the IMAP account setting text box and connect it. At last wait for the while so that Gmail account connects with your Outlook.
